Stanimir Videv

Stanimir was born on the 27th of March 1957 in the village of Banya. He graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Kazanluk and moved on to study Painting at the National Fine Arts Academy "Nikolay Pavlovich", tutored by Dobri Dobrev. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the recipient of many national and international awards for his craft. Stanimir Videv has been the subject of more than 30 solo exhibitions and has taken part in numerous collaborative exhibitions in Vienna, Istanbul, Paris, Luxemburg, Tel Aviv, etc. His paintings are part of the collections of museums, galleries and private buyers in Greece, Luxemburg, Serbia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Germany, England, Spain, Turkey, France, Israel, USA, Finland. He lives and works in Plovdiv.

Videv is a painter and one of the most infamous ones of his time. His artistic style is expressive and his landscapes and figural compositions are a skillful representation of the combination of abstract and realistic, seen through the lens of an artist's emotional gaze.
