Zdravka Vasileva

Zdravka was born on the 30th of September 1977 in Plovdiv. She graduated from the High School of Fine Arts "Tsanko Lavrenov" in Plovdiv and then specialized in Painting at the National Academy of Fine Arts "Nikolay Pavlovich" in Sofia. She lives and works in Sofia and since 2003, she has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artist and senior assistant at the School of Painting at the National Academy of Fine arts in Sofia, alongside professor Valentin Kolev. Zdravka's paintings are owned by many private collectors in Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Austria, and France.

Zdravka works with figural, landscape and interior paintings, but her works link together not only by their style and composition but also by the distinct feelings her paintings provoke in those who gaze at them. The themes and atmosphere of her works are ever revolving around her beloved Plovdiv. The facades, the antique lamps, and interiors, although mute, transport us to a calm and cozy time, which sadly evades most of us today.
