Groga was born on the 27th of February 1942 in the village of Dumnici, region of Gabrovo. In 1969 he graduated from the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St.St. Cyril and Methody" with a degree in "Poster Design". Beterrn 1980 and 2006 he was an art teacher at a fine arts school in the town of Tryavna. He lives and works in his home village of Dumnici. He's had numerous successful exhibitions, both solo and collaborative, as well as a number of symposiums. He is a long-time participant in the International Biennale of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo, in the section of "Paintings". Groga's works can be seen in many galleries and private collections in Bulgaria, USA, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, Belarus, and others.
Groga is a painter, whose works are characterized by his impeccable skill and precision. His paintings are the perfect example of the styles of hyperrealism and fairytale realism.
