Angel Geshev was born in 1962 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He graduated from the State Art School of Drama in Plovdiv in 1981 and received a master's degree in graphics from the Surikov State Art Academy in Moscow in 1993. He worked at the Moscow Studio of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts (1993–1995), and later became the creative director of the A&Y Studio in Beijing. In 2015, he founded the A.G.-Art Project Foundation in Plovdiv and created the Arsenal of Art Gallery in 2016. Geshev has had numerous solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, Germany, China and other international locations. His works are part of prestigious collections, including museums in Beijing and Moscow. He has been awarded various distinctions, including the Grand Prize for Graphics at the Second International Festival of Fine Arts in Moscow in 2008.
